As a young activist, I believe that real transformation begins when we challenge the limits set by convention, fear, and silence. In every space I work, whether it’s a classroom, a community dialogue, or a public campaign, I see boundaries that restrict participation, creativity, and justice. These boundaries are often invisible: the idea that youth voices don’t matter, that governance is too complex for citizens to engage with, or that ecological democracy protection is separate from social progress.
We are breaking boundaries not just for ourselves, but for a future where every voice counts, every question matters, and every community leads change.

Diwakar Uprety is a dynamic young rights activist from Madhesh, Nepal, dedicated to strengthening democracy, advancing climate justice, and promoting good governance. He believes that true social progress begins with open dialogue and critical thinking — values he actively cultivates among youth through forums, workshops, and movements.
As the driving force behind initiatives, Diwakar has been instrumental in fostering civic awareness, accountability, and participation at the grassroots level. His work often bridges policy and people, connecting local voices to national conversations on governance and environmental justice.
A strong advocate of participatory policy-making, Diwakar uses advocacy, lobbying, movement building and conversation as his core tools to drive transformation. Beyond activism, he is also a writer and visual storyteller who uses creative expression to connect communities, document lived experiences, and inspire civic responsibility. He also works on inclusive environmental governance projects, amplifying marginalized voices in climate and urban policy processes.
